YES. Kansas is a no-fault state. This means that you are entitled to “Personal Injury Protection” (“PIP”) benefits anytime you are injured in a car accident. Uninsured motorist coverage (“UM”) acts the same way as UIM but is intended for situations in which the negligent driver has no insurance.
